After forty years as an award-winning reporter and television journalist, Lesley Stahl discovered the most transformative experience of her life was not covering the White House; hosting Face the Nation; interviewing heads of state; or her many stories for 60 Minutes. Instead, it was becoming a grandmother.
Meet Me Saint Louis presents Lesley Stahl, Sunday afternoon, April 17 in an exciting event featuring her just released book, BECOMING GRANDMA: The Joys and Science of the New Grandparenting.
In an era when Baby Boomers are becoming grandparents in droves and busy young parents need all the help they can get raising their children, Stahl’s book is a timely and affecting report from the “frontline of modern grandparenting”….one that redefines a cherished relationship.
Doors open at 1:30 P.M. and Stahl’s presentation begins at 2:00 P.M. The event will be hosted by St. Luke’s Hospital at the Hospital’s Institute for Health Education – North Medical Office Bldg, Level II (222 S. Woods Mill Road, 63017) and includes: refreshments, information tables, exciting door prizes, free flowers for every attendee courtesy of Walter Knoll Florist, a presentation by Stahl with audience Q&A, book signing, vendors, and free parking.
Tickets are: $45 for one person (includes Stahl’s book and one door prize ticket); $60 for two people (includes one book and two door prize tickets). A portion of proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit The Saigh Foundation Special Care Nursery at St. Luke’s Hospital.
